The picture shows Tammy, who has quadriplegia due to a C5-C6 spinal cord injury, doing the reverse, or palm up, deltoid press on the UPPERTONE adapted physical education and exercise system. .
Reverse Deltoid Press

Doing the deltoid press in palm down and palm up positions emphasizes different muscles. The palm down position stress the middle deltoid and the palm up position emphasizes the anterior deltoid.

The palm up deltoid press is particularly helpful for those with weak triceps as it compensates for weak triceps by stressing the front of the shoulder.
